Terms of Service

Short version:Use SvaNotes responsibly, respect copyright, and don't do anything illegal. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SvaNotes application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use SvaNotes. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using SvaNotes on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@learnwithvivek.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • You may not create accounts using automated means or for deceptive purposes.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SvaNotes to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Share videos or generate notes from content you do not have the right to access.
  • Generate, store, or distribute harmful, abusive, defamatory, or illegal content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercialise the Service without our written permission.
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.

5. Content and intellectual property

Your content

You retain ownership of the notes you create. By using SvaNotes, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your notes solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Third-party content

SvaNotes generates notes from publicly available video transcripts. We do not host, store, or distribute the underlying video content. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party content complies with the terms of the originating platform (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) and applicable copyright law.

Our intellectual property

The SvaNotes name, logo, app design, and all associated technology are owned by us. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use our brand or technology outside the Service.

6. Payments and subscriptions

SvaNotes may offer free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective billing terms. Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple's and Google's refund policies. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in behaviour harmful to other users or the Service. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Termination does not affect any obligations that arose before the termination date.

8. Disclaimers

SvaNotes is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that AI-generated notes will be accurate, complete, or error-free. Always verify important information from the original source.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party videos or platforms that you choose to use with SvaNotes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SvaNotes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
